Pipes and Drums
The Pipes and Drums of St. John’s Northwestern leads all formal military parades and performs concerts on and off campus. The pipes and drums was founded in 1918 with the enrollment of the first piper. The Clan Davidson tartan was adopted to honor the founding family and the pipes and drums became an integral part of the Academy identity over the many years to follow.
The St. John’s Northwestern Choir performs various concerts on campus as well as within the community during the school year, such as singing the National Anthem at Milwaukee Bucks basketball games.
Parades and Ceremonies
The St. John’s Northwestern Band performs at Academy parades and ceremonies during the school year as well as represents the Academy at the annual Chicago St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The Herald Trumpets add splendor to formal Academy ceremonies, such as the Boar’s Head Banquet and Heritage Society Appreciation Dinner, as well as other occasions.
